Hard Surface Artist and 3D Generalist

My name is Robert Kreps and I was born and raised in Battle Creek, MI.

I graduated from Kellogg Community College with an Associates in General Studies (2006) and from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor's in Game Art & Design (2009).

Ever since the original Mario Brothers I've loved videogames and I haven't stopped playing them since. I've been an artist for just as long and eventually discovered that making art for games was what I wanted to do with my life. After graduating from the Art Institute I did freelance work for Liquid Development for five years, honing my skills as a hard surface prop artist. In January 2016 I moved to L.A. for an opportunity to work at The Third Floor, doing previsualization for movies and games, and that is where I reside today.

In my free time I tend to nerd out creating fan art for games I've played or use Unreal engine to hone my aspiring game design skills. And of course I still play games too. Otherwise I'm hanging out with friends and taking life one step at a time.

If you're interested in my skills as an artist, please feel free to contact me.
